SolidACE announces BuiltWorks 2010 Beta

We are clearly delighted to be launching our Beta version using the very latest SolidWorks 2010 Beta technology. We have been extremely encouraged by the level support that we have experienced from the engineering industry since first showing the product development version at SolidWorks World in Orlando back in February 2009.

Following several initial presentations recently, the chance to put a working release out for initial comment and feedback which is crucial to our commitment to producing a product that we hope will become a flagship in the Structural Engineering arena for SolidWorks users.

Customers throughout the structural engineering industry will benefit from the fully integrated workspace that BuiltWorks provides, particularly those who are familiar with the SolidWorks design environment. BuiltWorks, provides an intelligent modelling tools that facilitate the creation of a 3D parametric model of a steel structure under design by using both SolidWorks Weldment and BuiltWorks Structural members either as Part or/and Assembly and seamlessly integrates solid physical model to leading analysis and design engineering application, STAAD.Pro. BuiltWorks also includes functions for component modelling using international standard libraries of steel shapes; connection detailing by setting relations, aligning, joining and cutting structural members at intersections and placing endplates; drawing generation and bill of quantity calculation. Full SDNF import/export functionality allows for flexible and efficient workflow with third party Structural and Plant applications.
