BuiLTWorks (Light) seamlessly integrates the SolidWorks Weldment 3D modelling environment with leading Structural Analysis and Design applications like STAAD.Pro, SCAD, LIRA and others. Full SDNF import/export functionality allows for flexible and efficient workflow with other Steelwork and Plant Design applications. For additional features, the user has an extended database of international steel shapes; facilities to build axis grid systems in the model with representation in the drawings as well as useful structural specific features.

BuiLTWorks was launched at SWW2009. Its international release is being extended to include additional steel tables (American, European, Russian, and others) and will be soon available with the initial releases.

BuiltWorks full version will extend further standard SolidWorks 3D modelling tools with enhanced functionality for professional Steel Design Applications: BW Structural Member; member groups and arrays; member aligning and cutting at the intersections (connections) using selected rules; free connection modelling and detailing with the possibility to save and copy the connection; standard connection prototype libraries, easily expanded by new customised solutions; extended structural axis grid in the model and drawing stage; generation of general arrangement drawings as well as detailed drawings reflecting the requirements of AEC industry standards, bill of materiaols. BuiLTWorks (Light version) functionality is included.
