Category: Press Releases

Following the BuiltWorks and SolidWorks aligned release strategy, announced in April this year, we are clearly delighted to be launching our Pre-Release 1 version using the very latest technology of the corresponding PR1 version of SolidWorks 2010. We have been extremely encouraged by the level support that we have experienced from the engineering industry during the Beta Testing program, which was running out since mid July 2009.

BuiltWorks PR1 will be available for download from SolidACE web site immediately. It will be publically presented at North Eastern SolidWorks User Conference in Westford, Massachusetts on October 16th 2009. This is the final step before launching the final commercial release of BuiltWorks, which is planned in the beginning of November this year in conjunction with the working release of newest SolidWorks 2010 version. This step is crucial to our commitment to producing a product that we hope will become a flagship in the Structural Engineering arena for SolidWorks users.

Users throughout the structural engineering industry will benefit from the fully integrated workspace that BuiltWorks provides, particularly those who are familiar with the SolidWorks design environment. BuiltWorks, provides an intelligent 3D modelling and design environment, and seamlessly integrates to leading analysis and design engineering application, STAAD.Pro. BuiltWorks also includes functions for component modelling, connection detailing, drawing generation, and bill of quantity generation. Full SDNF import/export functionality allows for flexible and efficient workflow with third party Structural and Plant applications.
