Meet SolidACE representatives at Stand 111 in the Partner Pavilion, where they will be demonstrating both products and answering questions. A product presentation is scheduled as part of the Technical Training Sessions on Tuesday, February 10, 2:45-3:45 pm, with the title, Integrated Design and Analysis Application for Structural Stellwork and Plant Systems.

Commenting on the launch of BuiltWorks and BuiLTWorks the company spokesperson remarked, “With so many years of experience in structural engineering, we are excited to bring the benefits of SolidWorks’ 3D modeling and design environment to our field with these great products. BuiLTWorks is an entry level product specifically designed to let users seamlessly combine the various engineering analysis applications and steel drawing formats they are using now within the SolidWorks modeling environment. Users will quickly see the benefits this integrated workspace and be ready and able to upgrade to the full functionality of BuiltWorks. Our team is knowledgeable and experienced; we are engineers proudly developing tools for our fellow engineers.”

BuiLTWorks seamlessly integrates the SolidWorks 3D modeling environment, with the SolidWorks Simulation applications, for finite element analysis, or other leading structural analysis and design applications like STAAD.Pro, SCAD, LIRA and others. Full import/export functionality allows for flexible and efficient workflow.

BuiLTWorks generates a “solid” model of a structural system within the SolidWorks environment based on the system’s geometry, cross-sectional data, and the offset of joints. Additionally, this model incorporates all physical parameters of the systems’ materials, including density, strength, weight, module of elasticity and others. From this model, users can create variations for analysis.

BuiLTWorks allows users to launch analysis and design applications within the SolidWorks environment, creating a single integrated workspace. Changes and modifications made during analysis are automatically made in to the 3D “solid” model, in accordance with the model’s connections and rules.

Additionally, BuiLTWork users can import analysis models from FEA applications like STAAD.Pro (worldwide standard for plant and structural engineering), SCAD and LIRA (top two products in the Russian and CIS markets) directly into the SolidWorks environment, transforming analysis models into 3D “solid“ models for detailing and drawing generation.

Users of BuiLTWorks can easily upgrade to the full version of BuiltWorks to take advantage of greater functionality. Both versions are currently available.
